Keynotes
The Learning and Teaching Academy are pleased to announce the two keynote speakers as follows:
Dr Mustafa Akıncıoğlu (University of Oxford, UK) will present his keynote, ‘Reimagining English-Medium Instruction (EMI) in International Higher Education: Learning Outcome Centred Interdisciplinary Teacher Collaboration’. He will raise fundamental questions about equity, learning, and academic responsibility. His talk will introduce the Collaborative Planning Tool (CPT), a response to the governance gaps that currently limit EMI impact, as offering a method of structuring sustained collaboration between content lecturers and language specialists.

Ms Fannon, an international leader in work-integrated learning strategy and policy, will explore how employability can be embedded within the curriculum through work-integrated learning. Drawing on examples from Heriot-Watt University alongside international practice, she will highlight how employability is developed through applied assessment, industry-connected learning, and programme-level design.
