Sharing Scholarship

These sessions provide an opportunity for staff to hear about recent teaching and learning projects and to consider how the learning from these can be used to improve their own practice. The format is a short presentation or two per session followed by questions to the presenter(s) with debate and discussion. The presenters will be drawn from across the University with both recently completed projects and projects in progress being presented.
The speakers for this session are:
Tom Pfefferkorn (EBS/SoSS) – ‘Exploring the characteristics of problem-based learning and their impact on teaching team performance and student learning‘
Polly Glyn and Konstantinos Ritos (HWUSU) – ‘Developing and Embedding Peer to Peer Support within the Heriot Watt Student Community during and post Covid-19’
Morgain Reed (EPS) – ‘Building student communities using Minecraft’
